Why Oakstead Exists
One of the recurring themes we encountered through acquisition and advisory work was that fundamentally good businesses did not always have the information or independent challenge needed to make the best decisions.
Sometimes that meant weak forecasting or management reporting. Sometimes the owner was carrying too much of the business personally. In other cases, there was a gap between how management viewed the business and how an investor, lender or potential buyer might see it.
Oakstead was created to help close that gap.
We help management understand where the business really stands, identify what matters and make practical improvements rather than simply producing another set of reports.

Oakstead is founder-led, but where a situation requires additional expertise we can bring in carefully selected specialists to work alongside us. That might include expertise in operations, systems, marketing, people, transactions or another specialist discipline.
Rather than maintaining a large permanent consulting team, our approach is to bring together the right capability for the particular business and problem. Oakstead remains involved, helping ensure the different pieces stay commercially focused and connected.
